McRae’s one-out shot to center field broke an 8-8 tie and allowed the Rapids (10-1, 5-0) to remain atop the 2A Greater St. Helens League. Gabby Ventura went 2 for 4, scored twice and had two doubles as River’s leadoff hitter. Halley Jordan went 3 for 4 with two RBI. The Rapids have three games remaining, including a season-ending showdown against 4-0 Ridgefield on Saturday.
