A Deed Without a Name examines isolation and displacement

TROY, N.Y. — In its description of the world premiere play, “A Deed Without a Name,’” Troy Foundry Theater says about the piece, “It is not a story with a sad feeling. This is not a story with a happy ending. This is a story.” The play opens tonight, and runs Wednesdays to Sundays until May 30. It is written by Katie Pedo, who also wrote the Foundry’s last full-production, “Models of Perfection.” The work is offered outside in the alley next to The Trojan Hotel on 3rd Street, downtown Troy. In a recent telephone interview, Emily Curro, Troy Foundry’s executive director, says that “A Deed Without A Name” could, in a general manner, be considered a sequel to the first piece.
