The block-long structure had 7 garage doors and a parking lot filled with several cars and a few school buses. It was a sunny day, but the building still seemed drab. I was not sure what to think as I entered the front door. Perhaps the smell of gasoline? Maybe oil rags and chests of mechanics tools? It was the bus barn after all. But the hall was remarkably bright and orderly. A pleasant voice welcomed me from a nearby office.
