Under the proposed budget, King William County Public Schools would receive $13.2 million in the next fiscal year4, an increase of $536,390. The figure is significantly less than the division’s request of over $1 million extra.
"We are failing as a board to uphold our fiduciary responsibilities to the citizens of King William County to be good stewards of the funds we have been entrusted with to educate our children,” said school board member Mark Lee.
