Democrat Zeneta B. Everhart was elected Tuesday night to the open Masten District seat and Democrat Leah Halton-Pope was elected to the open Ellicott District seat.
A first-time political candidate, Democrat Zeneta B. Everhart was elected to represent the Masten District. She defeated Murray Holman, a Democrat who ran on the Conservative party ballot line.
There are four contested races for the Buffalo Common Council in the general election. But only one of them - the Lovejoy District - involves two major party candidates.
