Visiting the country is a wonderful way to spend a weekend. It offers the opportunity to explore quaint villages and the studios of the local artists and artisans whose artwork often reflects the landscape around them.
In King Township, each spring brings the Studio Tour King, typically held at the end of April. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and public health restrictions, the studio tour cannot be in person but will be held virtually.
The 16th Studio Tour King has been extended and will take place from April 12 to 25 with the preview from April 5 to 11. The studio tour will include fine paintings (in acrylic, oil, and watercolour), wood working, photography, fibre arts, metal works, mixed media, etc.

SALEM, MA The first year owning a restaurant is difficult enough without having to make some of the choices Kathleen Rodgers has had to make in her first year owning Spitfire Tacos of Salem.
Rodgers, and her partner, Ryan, signed a lease to open the Lafayette Street shop on Feb. 1 six weeks before the start of the coronavirus health crisis that would consume the remainder of 2020. The owners could have stayed open as takeout restaurants were allowed to do during the spring shutdown but instead they closed until June.

Attend the LIFT Cohort 4 Orientation on Wednesday, January 27, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Attend four behavior intervention workshops facilitated by LIFT Trainers and complete homework before and following the workshops.
LIFT Training 1 – Connection and Social Belonging: Wednesday, February 3, 2-4 p.m.
LIFT Training 2 – Values and Values-Based Decision-Making: Thursday, March 4, 2-4 p.m.
LIFT Training 3 – Mindfulness and Self-Compassion: Wednesday, March 31, 2-4 p.m.
LIFT Training 4 – Growth Mindset and Resiliency: Thursday, April 29, 2-4 p.m.
