- Timothy Allan Morin (born 1979) was sentenced to two years probation, issued a lifetime firearms prohibition and ordered to provide a DNA sample for possession for the purpose of trafficking. - Aaron James Duncan (born 1983) was sentenced to a 30-day conditional sentence order and ordered to provide a DNA sample for break and enter and to one year probation and assessed $300 in victim surcharges on the count as well as for theft $5,000 or under and breaching a release order. Duncan was in custody for four days prior to sentencing. - Dale Robert Pierre (born 1997) was sentenced to time served for possessing a controlled substance. Pierre was in custody for one day prior to sentencing.
Suspecting it was stolen, RCMP activated their emergency lights. In turn, the driver attempted to drive away but hit the police vehicle instead, according to RCMP. Police then surrounded the car and, when the two refused to comply with a command to get out, one of the occupants was tasered, RCMP said. The pair were taken into custody while a subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a machete and a disguised conducted energy weapon within reach of the driver, police said. Courtoreille has been charged with eight counts including dangerous driving and fleeing police while Cadieux faces seven counts, including two counts of breaching a release order.
