[UPDATED Sept. 4, 1:20 p.m.] A funeral Mass for Katherine Schlegel has been scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church on Cherry Street.
[UPDATED Sept. 4, 11 a.m.] Katherine Mary Schlegel, 20, the daughter of New Canaan residents, a member of St. Aloysius Church and a 2016 New Canaan High School graduate, died Monday, Sept. 3.
The report of the death was confirmed Sept. 4 by the family through St. Aloysius Pastor Rev. Rob Kinnally, who said this is a “tragedy.”
The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told the Advertiser at 10:50 a.m. Sept. 4 that they are investigating the fatality, and the “cause / manner of death are pending determination at this time.”
