Theres places in the south where black local political involvement actually rises after 1877. What democrats are trying to do is carry those states electoral college. They dont care if theres a black assemblyman in this one district in louisiana. So for me, reconstruction, a, doesnt fail, its killed. Where it does stop, its murdered. And it doesnt stop every place. So for blacks in my new york, it is in fact a story of success. Does that mean all of americas racial problems are solved . Not a bit. Not anywhere. But those Voting Rights are not going to go away. Those integrated schools are not going to go away. The question i have for you is, i understand where youre coming from, these gentlemen had to have some supporters, i assume there were some whites. I got garrison and some of the others but you also indicated some folks here that a lot of us had not heard of so the corollary is are there some whites that were also part of this that we havent heard of that were working with them .
Drivers. In leesburg very picturesque and had that snow globe effect for most of mid morning and early afternoon. We were on the roads in ashburn, chantilly and herndon as well. Drivers were taking it easy and driving with caution. That was good news. Vdot had 800 plows treating and salting the roads across Northern Virginia. Did seem like they were all over the place. Drivers we spoke with said that the roads seemed fine but they were hoping for a smooth rush hour. A little skittish maybe, yeah. I think its because its whiting out a little bit for people. Other than, that the roads are fine. I think everybodys driving, you know sensibly. Just starting to get wet mostly. But temperature keeps dropping. Well have problems. Thats a concern for some of the drivers if the temperature drops. This snow has been the hard, wet packed snow. Good for making snowballs and im sure thats what a lot of kids were doing out here. Listen. You know what it is a good summary of what it is like outside. It is not that bad outside. People need to slow down and be safe. And, in millville, new jersey and wildwood, lancaster only 2 miles visibility. 6 miles in philly international. That is not too bad but fog is an issue along with our precipitation. Now, it is temperature that is really crucial here but were right at freezing in philadelphia, just below in pottstown. 32 degrees in allentown. Degree above in lancaster. Thirty in trenton w these temperatures hovering right around freezing it is changing type of precipitation. We have had a very mild day yesterday and many of us do have have rain.
