Observing from a distance: Insights for conducting effective field-based observations in online courses
Katherine Landau Wright, Ph.D., College of Education
About the project
The move to online learning has led to challenges for students in teacher preparation programs who are required to undergo observation and receive feedback from their supervisors. In this project, Dr. Wright and her colleagues attempted to address the struggles students face when recording and uploading their teaching demonstrations in order to receive effective feedback. The study attempted to address the technological problems students faced as well as reevaluate the most effective methods of feedback that supervisors should use to help their student teachers learn.
