The Lazy Gardener
The Lazy Gardener says: “This is a great time of year to notice nature, or wildlife, in the garden. Sometimes you can see animal footprints or other signs. They can tell a story of what’s happening in your garden.
Even though our bird feeders are down this spring, many species still visit the garden to browse the seeds this Lazy Gardener has left for them. The rudbeckia patch is frequented.
There are some citizen science projects aimed specifically at birds through the Cornell Lab of Ornithology at: https://www.birds.cornell.edu/citizenscience
Most are free just requiring the creation of an account with a login and password. One account can access all the different project platforms.
