Nearly two weeks had passed since Katerina Watt and her children had seen their cat, Pumpkin.
At first, the disappearance didn’t immediately alarm the Watt family because it wasn’t too unusual for Pumpin to disappear he’s an indoor/outdoor cat, Watt said. But after not seeing him the night prior, she knew something was up the morning of Jan. 18.
“I wanted to give him a chance to come home before overreacting,” Watt said, but eventually their family hit the streets to try to find their missing cat. “We had spent hours searching the neighborhoods and looking into the tips we received.”
