At one school, 67 pupils and a staff member have had to self-isolate. Parents have been informed if their children have been in contact with someone who tested positive. This sadly means some pupils who returned to school this week for the first time since Christmas weren’t able to complete a week of lessons before going into self-isolation.

The Jayhawks finished second behind Texas (1,055 pts.), while TCU placed third with 528 points, followed by West Virginia in fourth with 526 points and Iowa State in sixth with 522 points. The championships were headlined by senior Manon Manning’s first career Big 12 title in the women’s 200-yard backstroke, finishing in 1:55.57 to become the first Jayhawk to win the Big 12 Championship in the event. Manning later qualified for the NCAA Championships on Wednesday in the 100-yard backstroke.

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas women’s swimming & diving team concluded day three of the Big 12 Swimming & Diving Championships in Austin, Texas on Friday, where the Jayhawks placed eight entries in the top-five of their respective events. The Jayhawks got their day started in prelims on Friday, where they qualified 10 individuals for their respective ‘A’ finals. In the event finals, the Jayhawks got started with the women’s 100-yard butterfly, where sophomore Autumn Looney swam to a fifth-place finish in 54.37. Junior Greta Olsen also placed in the top-eight for Kansas, finishing eighth in 54.72. In the women’s 400-yard individual medley, sophomore Paige Riekhof put together a strong performance to place fifth overall, finishing in 4:22.48 in the ‘A’ final.
