Just like its namesake implies, this weekend’s tournament offered the Bruins one last chance to make their mark before the indoor season culminates. UCLA track and field journeyed to Seattle once again to compete in the Ken Shannon Last Chance Invitational.
Catching flights and podium finishes was the motto for the Bruins. A year ago, they clinched four indoor school records and made history. And a year later, the Bruins emulated the same energy at the same events.
The Bruins made waves of their own amid Los Angeles’ rains. UCLA track and field traveled to College Station, Texas for the Texas A&M Charlie Thomas Invitational on Saturday.
The Bruins placed third in the men’s 4×400 at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, with the school’s fastest time at the Championships ever. This was their first time qualifying for this event since 2005 and their highest placement in the event since the schools’ championship in 1999.
