Northern Light Mayo and CA Dean Hospitals, the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in Piscataquis County, and Highland Area Gleaners announce seven free produce pop-up markets in Dover-Foxcroft, Milo, and Greenville.

DOVER-FOXCROFT Eating more produce is a great way to improve your health and wellbeing. Northern Light Mayo Hospital is making it easy for everyone to access fresh fruits and vegetables by holding a free pop-up produce market on the hospital campus on Thursday, Nov.
DOVER-FOXCROFT Northern Light Mayo Hospital and the University of Maine Cooperative Extension are working together to improve access to fresh, local produce through gleaning, the art of recovering leftover food from local farm fields and farmers markets and redirecting it back to our community.
The organizations founded the Highland Area Gleaners program this summer to collect produce that might have been missed in the field or that hasn’t been sold at the farm stand.
