CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - As an expiration of the federal eviction moratorium nears, many renters are concerned about secure housing.
Assistance is available for those that need financial help, budgeting advice and more.
19 News Anchor Neeha Curtis met with Kevin Nowak and Kate Carden of CHN Housing Partners to discuss resources for renters.

Cleveland s Slavic Village Development is among the groups that have helped renters in the neighborhood who ve faced difficulty accessing assistance.
Shaunta Sanchez was working a full-time job as a housekeeper in March 2020 when her phone rang. It was her employer, laying her off due to COVID-19.
The Slavic Village mother, with four children at home, was told to file for unemployment.
Sanchez started worrying about the rent.
The Biden administration this month extended a national eviction moratorium through March 31.
It’s intended to keep renters in their homes through the hardship of the coronavirus pandemic. So are numerous rent assistance programs bolstered by federal dollars. But in many cases, the help is short-term, sometimes difficult to access, and comes with strings attached.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - After nearly two months of wondering whether or not she would ever get the $2,000 dollars in COVID-19 financial relief, a Cleveland landlord is now happy.
Pamela Coleman reached out to the 19 News Troubleshooter unit earlier this month because she felt she was not getting anywhere with the CNH Housing Partners, an organization that processes COVID-19 relief applications for landlords and tenants affected by the pandemic, after filling out an application.
