Pa. pilot hit band of snow before fatal helicopter crash, NTSB says

A Lehigh Valley doctor traveling by helicopter hit a band of snow showers before his deadly crash last month in a remote area of Pennsylvania, the National Transportation Safety Board said in its preliminary report.
Dr. Sanjay Kansara, of Upper Saucon Township, was piloting the four-seat Robinson R44 helicopter that crashed the night of April 23 in state game lands near Forkston.
The NTSB said the pilot was fatally injured and the helicopter was destroyed; the agency does not identify people involved in aircraft accidents.
