Base Realignment and Closure is not about jobs, nor should it be.It is about national security. The Pentagon has too muchinfrastructure, and much of what it has is outdated andunnecessary. A successful BRAC will help the Pentagon to providenational security, which is the most appropriate contribution theDefense Department can make to the U.S. economy.
