Few workplaces will be as busy this week as Salon Cyan on Dundas Street in London.
“We are booked to the max. The girls are pulling 12-hour shifts,” said Kasia Fevens, the hair salon’s manager.
The crush of customers comes after Ontario allowed businesses offering personal-grooming services – such as hair salons, beauty parlors and barber shops – to reopen Wednesday, with restrictions, as the province moved into the second phase of its reopening from a two-month spring shutdown.
Other changes include increased capacity at some retail stores and allowing six people at a table for outdoor dining, but gyms remain closed for indoor training and exercise.
