The Jammu & Kashmir High Court on Wednesday upheld the validity of affidavits attested by Notaries appointed under the Notaries Act 1952 for use in writ proceedings before the High Court.Single bench.

J&K High Court Announces Summer Vacation, Nominates Four Judges To Hear Urgent Matters An order issued in this regard read, “It is hereby notified that the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed for summer vacation with effect from 7th June, 2021 to 25th June, 2021 (both days inclusive). The period commencing from 7th day of June to 12 day of June, 2021 shall be No work period for the Hon’ble High Court” Further the order stated, “In terms of Rule 12 of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Rules, 1999 Hon’ble the Chief Justice has been pleased to nominate the Hon’ble Judges for both the wings of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, named in Column (1) below, to be the vacation Judges to hear all matters of urgent nature for the period mentioned against their names in Column (2).”
