VARANASI: Devotees visiting the temples in Varanasi, including the Kashi Vishwanath temples, will have to show their negative RT-PCR report which should not be more than 72 hours old.
The district administration has advised pilgrims and tourists from across the country to avoid visiting the holy city for pilgrimage amid the recent spurt in coronavirus cases.
Amidst challenges of arranging beds in level-3 and level-2 facilities for the critical Covid-19 patients, divisional commissioner Deepak Agrawal and district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma have decided to issue the advisory to discourage the people from gathering at prime shrines, religious and tourist sites.
