The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported 4,106 Covid-related new deaths in the country and 3,78,741 fresh recoveries during the 24-hour period. The cumulative caseload stands at 2,49,65,463, including 2,11,74,076 recoveries, 35,16,997 active cases and 2,74,390 deaths.

Prayagraj: There has been a recent surge in the number of youngsters joining the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) with around 3,000 engineering, management and postgraduate students linking with the organization in the region. The rush is being credited to Nidhi Sangrah Abhiyan the 45-day fund collection campaign for Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya conducted by RSS and its highly impressive management. RSS volunteers, who fanned out to collect funds, inspired many and the trust shown by people who gave donations to them readily cast lasting impression. As a result, around 3,000 youngsters, including engineering, management and post-graduation students have joined the RSS in Kashi region in the past one and half months.

Nadda, who arrived in Varanasi on Sunday morning on a two-day visit, held a detailed meeting with party office bearers of Kashi Prant, local MPs, MLAs and district presidents. Party sources said that Nadda discussed the preparedness of the party workers for the upcoming Panchayat elections and then the state Assembly elections, scheduled to be held next year.

Ganga Samagra selects 36 ghats fordaily aarti, cleanliness, maintenance | Allahabad News

These 36 ghats are located in Ghazipur, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Kaushambi, Prayagraj and Pratapgarh districts. Apart from cleanliness and maintenance of the snan ghats, the volunteers will also start Ganga aarti and plantation, besides promoting organic farming for ‘Aviral’ and ‘Nirmal’ Ganga. Ganga Samagra volunteers are working in 62 districts of five states and have also constituted snan and shamshan committees for maintaining cleanliness on the ghats. Chintamani Singh, a senior office bearer of Ganga Samagra, told TOI, “We will start working on 36 ghats in seven districts. We will work to maintain water quality and to improve the agriculture practices on the land along Ganga. More importantly, Ganga aarti will be performed at all these ghats.”
