The No. 6 Cal Bears women’s water polo team put up a good fight against the No. 2 Stanford Cardinal in a tough game on Senior Day on Saturday. Despite their best efforts, the Bears were unable to get closer than 16-9 to the Cardinal.
Cal made their way back to their home of California to face University of the Pacific on Sunday, April 2. The Bears (16-6) were always in control of the game, while the Tigers (18-7) were only able to score two goals through the first three quarters. The six goals scored by Pacific were equal for the team's second-lowest total of the season.
With the MPSF conference title up for grabs later this season, Cal battled one of its toughest competitors this past Saturday and fell short in an overtime match.
