KAMPALA, April 25 (Xinhua) Two people were feared dead after a fuel tanker they were traveling in lost control and plunged into River Nile in the northern Ugandan district of Nwoya on Saturday, a police spokesperson said Sunday.
Patrick Okema, Aswa regional police spokesperson, said in a statement that Alex Ogwal, a 35-year-old driver and Howard Obaro, a 21-year-old fuel attendant with Shine Energy Petrol Station crushed into Karuma Bridge and plunged into River Nile.
He said the two were travelling from the northern district of Lira taking fuel to Masindi Port in the midwestern district of Kiryandongo.

On April 8 last year, Moses Onono, a livestock farmer and owner of Homa Farm in Omel A Village, Paicho Sub-county, Gulu City, woke up to the sight of cuttings in his fence as he went about his routine checks on the herd.
Inside the kraal, something was terribly wrong, 25 of his 38 exotic bulls were missing.
About 700 metres from the fence appeared fresh tyre marks of a truck that seemed to have made several turns and driven towards Gulu Town, concretising the assumption that the truck may have been used to move the missing cattle.
