20-year-old man in court for allegedly stealing pupil’s school bag On Kindly Share This Story: A 20-year-old man, Williams Zakari, was on Friday arraigned at a Karu Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for allegedly stealing a pupil’s school bag. Zakari, of no fixed address, is facing one count charge of theft. The prosecution counsel, Ayotunde Adeyanju, told the court that the complainant, Eseke Cheryl, reported the matter at the Karu Police Station on Jan. 22. Adeyanju said that on the same date, while the complainant was waiting in her mother’s car parked opposite Noble Geight Academy, Karu, the defendant came to the spot and stole her school bag containing books.

Vanguard News Teenager to spend 2 months in jail for constituting public nuisance On   A Karu Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, on Monday sentenced a 19-year-old man, Hassan Amisu, to two months in correctional centre for causing panic and chaos within a community in Karu, Abuja. The Judge, Inuwa Maiwada, also gave him an option of N10,000 fine and warned him to desist from committing crimes. The convict, who resides at Angwan Hausawa, Karu, Abuja and claimed to be a mechanic, had pleaded guilty to the charges and begged for leniency. He was charged with criminal intimidation, public nuisance and being in possession of dangerous weapons.

Hotel manager in court for allegedly stealing employer s water heater, curtains

By Tue Jan 19 2021 A 25-year-old man, Chimela Eze, on Monday appeared in a Grade I, Area Court in Karu, FCT, for allegedly stealing his employer’s water heater and curtains. The police charged Eze, a manager at Miami Escape Hotel, Karu , FCT, with criminal breach of trust by servant, cheating and theft. The prosecutor, Ayotunde Adeyanju told the court that the complainant, Victor Otuotor, reported the matter at the Karu Police Station on Dec. 11, 2020. He alleged that the defendant also maliciously destroyed some of the hotel property. During police investigation,he alleged that the defendant confessed to selling the water heater to a scavenger for N9,000.
