Poland's education minister has estimated the costs of financing the education of Ukrainian children in Poland at PLN 900 million (EUR 190 million) so far.
The 31st International Economic Forum is taking place in the Polish city of Karpacz, near the borders of the Czech Republic and Poland, with approximately 3 000 participants, including about 200 representatives from Ukraine.
Romanian utility Nuclearelectrica and Polish copper and silver producer KGHM Polska Miedź SA have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the development of small modular reactors. Both companies have previously signed agreements with NuScale of the USA on the deployment of its SMR technology.
When looking one year back, I see three main new developments:
1. The EU-induced Green Deal has begun to be felt by millions of our fellow citizens. Its very painful consequences have manifested themselves in the form of disruptions of the European energy markets and in the subsequent distortions of our economies, of our living standards and of our social systems;
