A pharmacy in Hubballi began collecting swabs on Friday
HUBBALLI: The Hubballi-Dharwad district administration has roped in private medicals shops for collection of swabs for Covid-19 testing. In a pilot project, around 10 medical shops will start collecting swabs.
In Hubballi, one medical shop started collecting swabs from Friday.
Now, persons who suspect they have Covid-19 need not to visit the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Dharwad district hospital, Chitaguppi Hospital, or taluk hospitals or look for mobile swab collection centres. They can give the sample at the nearest pharmacy.
The aim of the district administration is to enhance Covid testing, and identify the disease at the earliest stage so that the patient recovers without developing any complications.
