The death toll from floods in southern and western states of the country including Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Gujarat has risen to 178. Due to the monsoon fury, at least 68 people were killed in Kerala while 110 others killed in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
