The State Government on Wednesday has given the go-ahead for movie halls and theatres to have 100 per cent seating capacity for four weeks. The decision was taken after a delegation led by
Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) met Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr K
Sudhakar and Minister for Information and Public Relations C C Patil at Vidhana Soudha to protest against the 50 per cent rule.
“State Chief Secretary, as per the advice of the technical committee, had issued an order on Tuesday allowing 50 per cent seating capacity for screening movies at theatres across the state.
