BARNEGAT, NJ – The first time Bruce Johnson showed up for a Barnegat Township Committee meeting this year, he wore a pair of tall waders. It was February.
“I live on 38 Woodmansee Boulevard, down by the marinas,” said Johnson, as he addressed the governing body. “We had a little weather situation today and I had to walk through the bay to get here.”
Johnson estimated about a foot of water made his street impassable on that particular morning. He said the road constantly floods, and it’s not the first time he’s asked township officials for help.
