ROGERS CITY This weekend is your last chance to get a break from the pandemic negativity and treat yourself and family or friends to the delightful “Savannah Sipping Society” at Rogers City Theater.
The modern comedy, presented by Rogers City Community Theatre, will be showing at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday, at 2 p.m. Sunday.
A cast full of seasoned female actors bring fun and excitement to the stage, each with their own pizzazz, based on their characters’ unique personalities.

ROGERS CITY This unlikely foursome sure knows how to have fun, with the help of a potent drink or two.
Find out what female friendship is all about starting tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Rogers City Theater, when the modern comedy, “The Savannah Sipping Society” opens, presented by Rogers City Community Theatre. The live production will be showing at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday, at 2 p.m. Sunday, and again at the same times next weekend, April 30 through May 2.

Alpena Civic Theatre and Rogers City Community Theatre are feeling “blessed” and “relieved” to be recipients of the Michigan Stages Survival Grants from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
They were among the 101 venues in Michigan that shared a portion of the $3.423 million, with a maximum allocation amount of $40,000 per venue. Since both ACT and RCCT are all-volunteer run, smaller venues, they each received less than $10,000, but they are grateful for every penny.

“We were just tremendously happy,” said ACT Board President Bill Powell.
ACT Board Treasurer Jay Kettler said the money will be used to pay for the utilities and to upgrade the ventilation system.

¯ “Dumb and Dumber” 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
¯ “Jojo Rabbit” 2 p.m. on Sunday.

¯ “Sixteen Candles” 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Per state COVID restrictions, the concessions stand will be closed, outside food and drink are not permitted, face masks must be worn at all times, and attendance for each event will be limited to 50 people.
