In Northwest Georgia, it is the one day of the year when people are allowed to swim in Lula Lake, on the eastern edge of Lookout Mountain - a half hour away from Chattanooga. On Saturday, January 29th, the Lula Lake Land Trust hosts its Polar Plunge and Fun Run, starting at 9 AM.
“Alabama Story” is a play written in the past decade, inspired by real events of the late 1950’s. At the heart of the play is a collision of racial tensions and censorship during segregation and the civil rights movement. On Friday, “Alabama Story” premieres at Chattanooga Theatre Centre.
