Hospital Director Dr. Karl Laqui said around 900 to 1,000 individuals were already in line for vaccination when they did a headcount from 8 – 9 a.m.
He added that some started lining up as early as 12 a.m.
Laqui said the hospital staff first explained to those in line that the hospital only had 300 vaccine doses allotted for Monday’s vaccination since there was no assurance that it can get additional supply for the day or use the supply allotted for other days.
After “several talks,” Laqui said it was decided that all individuals who lined up for vaccination will be accommodated.
