A 9-year-old diabetic child died under Arizona’s state care while his father was in jail. The son was brain dead within days of being taken into state custody.
Richard Blodgett said he suspects the Arizona Department of Child Safety failed in its duty to protect his son, who was diagnosed with diabetes as a toddler.
Richard Blodgett (left with his son Jakob) was jailed in December and his boy was put into a foster home. Just days after Blodgett was taken into custody, officials told him his son was brain dead.
