Vernon rec centre to be transformed into COVID-19 vaccination clinic | iNFOnews

The Vernon Recreation Centre auditorium is set to be transformed into a large-scale vaccination clinic. As of March 8, the rec centre auditorium will be closed to the public as the space is given over to Interior Health to become a vaccine clinic for approximately the next eight months. According to a City of Vernon media release, the auditorium s main floor and the Sunset breakout room will be used for the clinic which may extend more than eight months if needed. The use of the auditorium for the vaccination clinics will be for a limited time, and the benefits to the Greater Vernon community outweigh any inconvenience that may occur, Vernon Mayor Victor Cumming said in the release.
