Karidat to launch food pantry program

(Press Release) — This is to inform the general public that Karidat Social Services will be officially launching the CDBG Food Pantry Program made possible by the Northern Marianas Housing Corporation through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development on June 1, 2021. The total allocation awarded to Karidat is $405,268.50 — $327,514.80 for the project and no more than $77,753.70 for planning and administrative costs.  The Food Pantry Program was made to prepare, prevent, and respond to the Coronavirus Pandemic and to supplement and expand ongoing efforts to procure food and infection control supplies in the CNMI. The project will provide assistance to eligible families on a first come, first serve basis as a one-time only assistance for the duration of the project.
