Clarkston Woman Accused Of Running Narcotics Through Whitman County With Her Son Wanted On Warrant For Missing Court

The 60-year-old Clarkston woman accused of running narcotics through Whitman County with her son is now wanted on an arrest warrant after she missed a court hearing. Karey Romaneschi faces narcotics charges in Whitman County Superior Court stemming from a January traffic stop along the Snake River.  Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputies allegedly found heroin, methamphetamine and pharmaceutical grade narcotics inside the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia and packaging materials. Romaneschi failed to appear at her court hearing on Friday.  The warrant for Romaneschi’s arrest includes a 10,000 dollar bond.  It’s valid in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Wyoming.  Her son Sheldon remains in the Whitman County Jail in Colfax.

Mother And Son From Clarkston Arrested On Drug Charges During Traffic Stop Near Wawawai Landing

A mother and son from Clarkston have been arrested on narcotics charges during a traffic stop in Southern Whitman County on the Snake River. The case began Thursday night around 11:00 when a deputy checked on the occupants of a vehicle at Wawawai Landing.  The deputy discovered that the passenger was wanted on a warrant out of Nez Perce County in Idaho.  The deputy then stopped the vehicle.  As the driver was pulling over a package was allegedly tossed out of the window into the river.  The package was recovered, and deputies reportedly found a small quantity of heroin and methamphetamine inside.  Deputies obtained and executed a search warrant on the vehicle and allegedly found several grams of heroin, meth and pharmaceutical grade narcotics along with drug paraphernalia and packaging materials.
