you can t drink water from your taps. what s the problem? and you re absolutely right. and that was why i was so compelled to write an open letter to the mayor in puerto rico, because one of the things we know and we can all agree on is water is a basic human right. let me read a little fwoit viewers about this letter that you wrote. okay. you said this is why i feel a special sisterhood to your community and desperate plea for action. we cannot sit idly by and allow more people to become infected with disease and illness. cannot allow the low uk waing of aid and tying of victims hands with bureaucracy. it is fair to demand clear answers. mayor, the thing interesting about your connection and puerto rico s is you re not asking for other stuff. you re not asking for people to come and wallpaper your homes. you want water. in the case of puerto rico, they want water and electricity. basics. right. right. we want water. we need water, and we all deserve water. we deserve clean

investigation after writing an open letter to san juan criticizing the response to hurricane maria and commiserating over similar problems in her city. mayor weaver, thank you for being with us. how did your meeting go with the white house? i think it was a good first step, because one of the issues we having, one of the challenges we having, with the new administration not having open lines of communication, and that was not good for the city of flint. we needed to let people know what s going on, because while we re making progress in the city of flint, we still have needs. we still continue to be on bottled and filtered water. and we needed to let them know, we still need help in the city of flint. so this is an interesting concept, because we wonder why the response to puerto rico has been so different than we would expect it to be, but flint is a great example. it is an american city full of americans where we shouldn t really find it acceptable that
