flag to honor those we lost on that fateful day. karen war chester executive director of wreaths across america. she joining us now from maine where they raise a flag every single morning. care, how do you want to take wreaths across america and commemorate 9/11? if people want to take action? well, we actually are here every tuesday morning and how that started, brian, was on 9/11, 2001, in freeport, maine, the group of ladies as the world was seemed to be falling apart, they needed to do something. so they went to the basement, they got out their flag and they stood on the side of the road. and as people went by listening to the radios and hearing everything that was happening and being so frightened, that flag, they just stood there. then they waived it and then people started honking. and that symbol that has brought there country so much. helped us all through the days of 9/11 and the days following. what it symbolized is all the men and women that served.
