SDLP SOUTH Down MLA Sinéad Bradley has announced that she ll be standing down ahead of the next assembly election.
Ms Bradley, whose late father PJ Bradley also represented South Down, announced her intentions on social media.
The former teacher was first elected in 2016. She is the constituency s second sitting MLA who will not contest the next assembly election, scheduled for next year.

WHEN I first met Michael Carr we were standing in the soon-to-be SDLP constituency office on Newry Street, Warrenpoint.
Michael was known to me by reputation only so the initial introduction was to take place over a cup of tea and cake; but he was quick to insist that for him, it had to be coffee and it always had to be Nescafé.
Michael was serving as a councillor for Warrenpoint and I was the newly appointed office manager for Karen McKevitt MLA.
Karen had the ingenious idea that Michael, with his years of life and political experience, should work alongside us in the office.

THE family of former SDLP councillor Michael Carr has asked for donations to palliative care charity Life and Time after he died peacefully at his Warrenpoint home yesterday.
Mr Carr represented Crotlieve first on Newry and Mourne District Council and later Newry, Mourne and Down District Council for 18 years.
SDLP assembly member Sinead Bradley described him as a much loved and highly respected member of the Warrenpoint community , adding he was, first and foremost, a family man and anyone who shared his company will be aware of the central role his wife Kay and their children played in his life .
