The Fund for Women and Girls awards more than $250,000 to local nonprofits
The fund hosted its annual meeting virtually this month, its theme
Lifting Each Other Up: A Celebration of Women and Philanthropy. Fund members and guests celebrated the work accomplished by multi-year grantee partners, and announced their 2020 grant awards and learned from two distinguished community leaders about how to address the needs in the community.
“The Fund for Women and Girls believes we can lift each other up by listening to the voices of those living in poverty, educating ourselves about critical issues in our region, and collaborating with others to address these needs through advocacy and aggressive funding,” Karen Collias, fund co-chair, said in a prepared statement. “We want to celebrate our philanthropy and be a part of the important work going on in our community.”
Fund for Women and Girls awards more than $250G to Mercer County nonprofits in 2020

The Princeton Area Community Foundation’s Fund for Women and Girls has awarded more than $250,000 in grants to local nonprofits this year.
The 2020 grant awards were reported at the fund’s annual meeting, themed “Lifting Each Other Up: A Celebration of Women and Philanthropy,” which was held virtually this month. The nonprofit receiving grants are:
CASA of Mercer and Burlington Counties: The grant provides training for CASA volunteers, who are appointed by the Family Court, to advocate for children ages 5 and younger who have been removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect.
