Newly formed commission to discuss Green New Deal impact on Czech Republic
A new government commission will be established to analyze the impact of the European Green Deal on the Czech Republic, Deputy Prime Minister Karel Havlíček said after a Tripartite Council meeting Monday, adding that it s a question of whether representatives of environmental organizations should be among the commission members. Havlíček said the Green Deal commission would be similar to the Coal Commission, which recommended the year 2038 as the coal exit date for the country last December. In The Next 7 years, CzechInvest Will Support Over 300 Innovative Startups

With a budget of CZK 1 billion, the project will bridge the interests of the state, business and academic sectors.
As per the government’s yesterday’s decision, the CzechInvest agency will launch its long-prepared Technological Incubation project later this year, to support over 300 startups from 7 key areas of technology.
Each startup will be eligible for maximum support of CZK 5 million. While the project mainly aims at supporting technological startups, it will also offer a broad range of activities and opportunities for other key players on the Czech business scene.
Farmers’ markets and selected shops and services will be allowed to open as of Monday, April 12, Trade and Industry Minister Karel Havlíček said following Tuesday’s government session.
The government approved the reopening of shops with children s clothing and footwear, shops selling stationery, dry cleaners, laundries, and locksmiths. Most shops and services have been closed since October with a brief exemption in the run-up to Christmas.
Deputy prime minister and head of the central crisis staff, Jan Hamáček, said in an interview for the Mladá fronta Dnes daily on Tuesday that restaurant gardens may be allowed to reopen at the end of April.
