You wanted Browns owner Art Modell to give you a Sam Rutigliano Super Bowl team. Believe it or not, it’s been 40 years since the Kardiac Kids thrilled the NFL with a series of dramatic, improbable, last-minute victories. And the biggest hit on Northeast Ohio radio at the time was the novelty song “The Twelve Days of a Cleveland Brown Christmas,” which name-checked some of the team’s biggest stars.

McNeil was 7 years old. The Browns trailed the Jets by 10 with just four minutes remaining in the AFC divisional playoffs.
