Meme fest as e-commerce giant Myntra forced to change logo after woman files police complaint calling it offensive

The Mumbai Police’s Cyber Crime Department had written to Myntra after it received the complaint. Myntra executives informed the cops that the company had decided to change its logo and it needed one month to effect the change on all platforms. The complainant, one Naaz Patel of Avesta Foundation NGO, had filed the police complaint in December last year. She had alleged that the old Myngtra logo resembled a naked woman and demanded its removal. “We found that the logo was offensive in nature for women. Following the complaint, we sent an email to Myntra and their officials came and met us. The officials said they will change the logo in a month’s time,” DCP Rashmi Karandikar, Cyber Crime Department of Mumbai police was quoted by Jagran English.
