KARACHI: Three members of the Honda Civic Gang were arrested on Friday during an alleged police encounter in Karachi s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area.
The police said the suspects had robbed a house in Gulistan-e-Jauhar s Block 11.
An exchange of fire started when a police party arrived at the crime scene. The police said four suspects fled while firing straight at the police.
The law enforcement agency said that the suspects are part of the Honda Civic Gang and have been committing crimes for quite some time.

As if Karachiâs residents were not already perturbed by the sporadic outages and low pressure of gas, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) on Tuesday announced reduced supply of the commodity from its Naimat basal field.
A statement issued by the gas company said supply in their system has observed a reduction. âThere is a technical fault at the Naimat Basal Gas Field.â
The SSGC said that due to the technical fault, thereâs a shortage of 100 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd). Low pressure has made it immensely difficult to meet the high demand of the industrial and domestic sectors, it added.

Fire brigade officials said that the helpline was unavailable for 12 hours due to some technical glitch.
The complaint about the helpline malfunction was registered with the authorities yesterday, officials added.
After 12 long hours, the Karachi Fire Department helpline and the landline numbers of the Central Control Office have been restored, Geo News reported Tuesday.

The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) held a protest march on Saturday from Five Star Chowrangi to the Hyderi Market in District Central as part of its campaign for the rights of Karachi.
The march was led by JI Karachi Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman.
A large reception camp was set up at Five Star Chowrangi with a large banner that called District Central the most uninhabitable district of the city. The banner highlighted several problems of the district, including encroachments on its parks and playgrounds, illegal buildings, garbage dumps, dilapidated roads, overflowing manholes and stray dogs.
A sit-in was held after the march. Addressing the gathering, Rehman said the JIâs movement for the rights of Karachi reflected the voice of 30 million people.
