Calling the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) a rejected party, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the MQM-P has been accusing him of ignoring Karachi in development schemes, but as a matter of fact, development schemes worth Rs479 billion have been launched in the city while through the Annual Development Programme, 1,072 schemes are in progress for Rs991.79 billion with an allocation of Rs109.36 billion during the current year.
This he said while talking to the media on Saturday after the inauguration of a newly constructed road from Saudabad Chowrangi to Thado Nullah-Soomar Kandani Village, including the RCC Bridge in Khokhrapar, Malir, under the Karachi Neighbourhood Improvement Project (KNIP).

Karachi, January 05, 2021 (PPI-OT): Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the federal government has imposed a controversial census on Sindh but “I am surprised that the so-called owners of Karachi, MQM are sitting in the federal government which has launched anti-Karachi policies.”
This he said while addressing the inauguration ceremony of 4.9 km Road from Fisherman Chowrangi to Ibrahim Hyderi organized at the Chowrangi on Tuesday. The ceremony was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Provincial ministers, Saeed Ghani, Nasir Shah, Shahla Raza, Murtaza Wahab, MNA and MPAs of the area, party leaders and workers and chairman P and D Mohamamd Wasee, Commissioner Karachi Naveed Shaikh, Administrator KMC Laiq Ahmed, PD of the project Asghar Memon and others.

Karachi, December 29, 2020 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has said that Public Private Partnership, NICVD, SIUT, Thar Coal, SRB and Sindh Education Foundation are successful projects of Sindh government. He said this in meeting with a delegation of Specialized Training (Police Service of Pakistan) who called on him on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by IG Sindh Mushtaq Ahmed Maher, Additional Chief Secretary Sindh Muhammad Usman Chachar and other officers of Planning and Development, Finance, and Energy Department Government of Sindh. The delegation was briefed on law and order, finance department and mega projects of Karachi.

Boat artist Abdul Aziz paints the country’s largest mural on road to Ibrahim Hyderi

The dusty path leading up to Ibrahim Hyderi hints at what lies ahead. Dolphins, sharks, seaweeds and other marine creatures painted over the ocean blue walls lining the road welcome citizens to the neighbourhood. Boats and launches depicted on the mural reflect the lives of the fishing community it houses.
Boat artist Abdul Aziz wishes he could paint over every wall in the city that is marred by paan stains and hate slogans. While the recent cold winds sweeping through the metropolis have had most Karachiites huddled indoors, Aziz has spent every day this winter beautifying both walls, 6,500 square metres each, with hues of blue and marine life.
