THOMASTON — Three residents have returned nomination papers to the town office in time to run for an open seat on the Select Board in the Tuesday, Nov. 7 election.
Many in Thomaston are bemoaning the September 6 announcement by Giant Holding Companies that Dragon Products, Inc., on Route 1 in Thomaston will be closing by 2025. Thomaston has long relied on the revenue produced by taxes and a Dragon tax.

THOMASTON — Town Manager Kara George spoke at the Monday, Sept. 11 meeting of the Thomaston Select Board regarding the news of Dragon Cement’s planned closure. Dragon announced the closure
