Lobos Set to Face Broncos in Boise ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.– Following a split with Air Force last weekend, The University of New Mexico volleyball team returns to the road to face Boise State on Friday and Saturday at 3 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively on the Mountain West Network. Sophomore outside hitter Kaitlynn Biassou led the Lobos (3-5) with two double-doubles against the Falcons as the co-captain tallied a team-high 29 kills and 34.0 points between the two matches. Biassou recorded 25 digs on the weekend, just second to sophomore libero Alena Moldan’s 34. Freshman setter Kara Erfurth averaged 7.33 assists per set, accounting for 66 of the team’s 73 and Erfurth and Biassou each finished with four service aces.

Lobos Battle to Five-Set Victory at Air Force

USAFA, Colo. Sophomore Kaitlynn Biassou led the Lobos with her second double-double of the series with a match-high 16 kills and 14 digs and freshman setter Kara Erfurth collected her third double-double of the season with a match-high 43 assists and added 14 digs. The Lobos had a total of four players finish with double-digit digs with Alena Moldan leading the team with a season-high 18 and Chloe Clark with a season-high 11 to go along with a season-high 14 from Erfurth and Biassou. As a team, the Lobos had 73 digs, tying the season high.

Lobos Travel to Air Force for Fourth MW Series

Both Friday and Saturday matches are set for 6 p.m. MT on the Mountain West Network. New Mexico enters the weekend matchup following two losses to San Diego State by scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-21 and 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 25-19, and on a four-match losing streak overall. UNM is 0-3 in three sets and 2-1 in four sets this season. Kaitlynn Biassou led the Lobos with 26 kills in the series, averaging 3.71 per set, with fellow co-captain Alena Moldan finishing with a team-best 24 digs. Freshman Kara Erfurth again led the team in assists, accounting for 51 of the team’s 59 against the Aztecs for an average of 7.29 per set and junior Avital Jaloba led the blocking with nine assisted blocks, an average of 1.29 per set.
