Ghaziabad: It took an SOS to chief minister Yogi Adityanath from a housing society that has been in the grip of a Covid outbreak since mid-April, and subsequent media attention, for the health department in Ghaziabad to react to the crisis. The health department said on Wednesday it would set up screening camps and initiate cluster containment measures at Amrapali Village in Indirapuram, whose RWA had appealed for help on Tuesday, saying over 300 families had at least one Covid infection and there were critical patients who were neither getting help with hospitalisation, nor with treatment. The RWA also claimed there were nine deaths in the society in a month.
