The event is free and will be online as well as in-person.
Four speakers are scheduled: Brad Roth, a pastor at West Zion Mennonite Church in Moundridge, Janice Swanson, a Michigan State University professor, Dan Thomson, a professor at Iowa State University, and Stephanie Eckroat, the bureau executive director for the Kansas Dairy Commission and Association.
The diocese’s own bishop, the Rev. Jerry Vincke, will host the event and give a sermon.
Rural Life moved its location from Hays to Salina in 2018 for the centralized location and the better resources available, according to moderator and member of the Rural Life Commission the Rev. Richard Daise of Colby’s Sacred Heart Church.
